Fire Alarm Upgrades at Kirkwood Hospice

The existing system was a missmatch of old conventional zone monitors with conventional zones wired in MICC cable, and 2 addressable loops in refurbished areas.

Now the fire alarm system upgrade has been successfully completed, transitioning the final 7 conventional zones to 2 addressable loops with the installation of new FP200 cabling , Fire panel has been upgraded including 2x repeater panels with custom made bezels for a neat finish.

This modernisation now means site have a complete addressable system which enhances fire detection accuracy by allowing precise identification of activated devices, improving overall safety and response times which is very important within the care facility.

The upgrade was carried out in 3 phases and careful attention was paid to working within a live and sensitive building, ensuring minimal disruption to patients and staff and ensuring ultimate protection with continuous detection throughout.

Complete new site plan drawings created with updated zone plans following zoning alterations, including As Fitted/As Wired plans of new Loops 3 and 4.
